Meizu’s first smartwatch goes online: running Flyme smart system, supporting eSIM independent calls

According to previous news, Meizu will implement the “one body and two wings” strategy this year. Mobile phones are still Meizu’s core business. At the same time, it will add dual strategic engines, smart wear and smart home business.

Among them, Lipro, as a smart home brand, has previously launched a number of new products, but wearable device products have not seen any movement.

According to the latest news, Meizu’s first smart wearable device “Meizu Watch” will be unveiled soon.

In addition, Zhuhai Meizu Technology Co., Ltd. has previously applied for the registration of the “Flyme For WATCH” trademark. The international classification is: “14 types of jewelry and watches” and “9 types of scientific instruments”. The status of the trademark is registration application.

In other words, Meizu Watch will be equipped with the Flyme operating system developed specifically for watch devices and support independent installation of APP, which can also effectively enhance the practicality of smart watches.

As for why Meizu wants to make Flyme for Watch, officials have already explained this before. They said: “On the one hand, 5G is the era of AIoT. Based on Flyme’s ecology, it is conducive to enhancing the synergy between products. From the Meizu company level, AIoT is a strategic direction, an opportunity and a challenge; from the user’s point of view, a sound ecosystem is more conducive to enhancing user stickiness.”
