HP’s Envy Pro 6452 all-in-one is an entry-level multifunction inkjet printer for homes and micro offices. In this case, most all-in-one machines (AIOs) lose points due to high operating costs, and ordering HP’s instant ink service makes the use of this printer relatively cheap. The operating cost of this printer is a sky-high price of 6452 paired with instant ink. The low price and running cost of this little envy make it stable for home offices, family rooms and dormitories. 200 to 300 pages per month is enough, just to put it into our favorite home and home office AIO.

In most respects, Envy Pro 6452 (which can print, scan, copy and fax) is comparable to 6455. Their dimensions are 6.8×17×14.2 inches (HWD), which is about the area and weight for beginner AIO.
Although there are some subtle differences between them, it is mainly the 35-page automatic document feeder of the 64xx model that makes them more flexible and more valuable. For the record, this is a manual two-sided printing ADF, not an automatic two-sided printing type, which scans and copies double-sided multi-page documents without user intervention.
Nowadays, another common feature of home and home printers is smart home voice activation. Most HP, Canon and Epson inkjet printers and AIOs can now be operated via voice commands. Envy Pro 6452 supports Amazon Alexa and Google Home Assistant. However, HP’s voice activation support no longer includes simple IFTTT (if that is the case) scripts, which will allow you to create voice commands for specific services, such as Microsoft’s Cortana and Apple’s Siri.
Paper handling includes a single 80-sheet tray that can alternately hold up to 10 envelopes or 40 pages of high-quality photo paper. The maximum monthly duty cycle of the printer is 1000 pages, and it is recommended to print up to 100 pages per month.
The machine mentioned here has the smallest capacity of 80 sheets so far, and the envy 6455 and the brother MFC-J491DW are next at 100 sheets. 6455 and 6452 have the same duty cycle, while the brother version can print up to 2500 sheets per month, and the recommended capacity is 1000 sheets.
Envy Pro’s connectivity, and HP’s smart applications
Standard connections include Wi-Fi, USB and Bluetooth 5.0. Regardless of whether you connect to the wireless or wired hardware, in most cases you communicate with the Envy Pro 6452 through the HP Smart App. This is a cross-platform application that runs the same computing technology already on all laptops, tablets, and smartphones-but also supports other useful options, such as scanning from a cloud website or printing.
However, the first is the standard connection interface, as mentioned earlier, including USB and Wi-Fi, and Wi-Fi Direct. The last function can also be controlled by smart applications, just like you can use a handheld camera to scan files directly to AIO or local drives or your favorite cloud sites. On some other HP machines, Smart App can also handle optical character recognition (OCR) programs, allowing you to scan text documents, and then convert them into searchable PDF, Microsoft Word or other formats, allowing you to directly edit the scanned Text. But Envy AIOs does not have this function.
The HP Smart App printer driver can run on Windows, macOS, Android and iOS. However, depending on the HP printer you are using, its capabilities go far beyond simple communication between the computing device and the printer. Smart Tasks of Smart App is a set of customizable workflow presets that can automate repetitive tasks, such as scanning to your favorite cloud site, scanning to email or local folders on a network PC or server, and Remote printing.
One disadvantage of entry-level home inkjets is that most inkjets, including Envy Pro 6452, are very slow. HP’s evaluation of this machine is 10 monochrome pages per minute (ppm) and 7 ppm color pages per minute. 6 seconds per page (or less than 10 seconds for color printing) may not sound slow, but believe me, it is slow when you are waiting for a few pages to print.
Envy Pro 6452 prints good-looking text and decent graphics and photos-about the entry-level inkjet AIO you expect. The text I printed is clear and easy to read at most dot sizes, only 6 dots in size. Excel charts, PowerPoint handouts, and Acrobat documents also look good, but the black gradients and fills are not perfect.
In general, Envy Pro 6452 is not an impressive machine. Its capacity and capacity level is the lowest; it is slow; you really should not print more than a few hundred pages per month. However, if you only need a few hundred high-quality prints and reproductions, then this jealousy is ideal, and its ability to enter HP’s instant ink ecosystem will save you time and money, especially if you want to use It comes to print photos of drinking a lot of ink.
